Job Search: Day 7

Day 7 of my wind-down of my primary client.  I'd love to say that I worked hard and billed accordingly, but my friend needed someone to watch her baby for a couple of hours, and my girls had a My Gym class (love that place).  Now it's 3 pm and I've billed roughly 2 hours.

Today, I am grateful for good friends with cute babies.  I am thrilled that my disabled daughter loves her My Gym class so much that I could not bring myself to skip it.  She has a blast, even though it is HARD WORK for her to participate in most of the activities.  Today, she squatted down to get a ball and stood up with it - and she didn't notice that I let go of her.  She did most of the work herself before she noticed.  HA!  We'll trick her into walking yet!  :-)

As far as networking, I have given a business card to everyone who slows down enough for me to catch them.  I talked with the receptionist at Aspire, our amazing pediatric therapy office, and she says she'll put the word out.  I gave a handful to our babysitter and asked her to put them on the bulletin board at the car wash, the coffee shop, and anywhere else she happens to see that's appropriate.

Something good is looming.
